You do not have to activate plugins because all plugins are bundled. It is a common way of adding plugins in the Themeforest Themes. You can read more about it in the official article from Themeforest:

The main part: "Some plugins may ask for a purchase code for registration/activation once installed, however, you can simply ignore these messages as bundled plugins do not require activation or registration. The plugin will still work as intended with the theme once the theme has been activated/registered. "

When the plugins are updated, we do some additional tests and when tests are finished, it is possible to update it via /wp-admin/ > MyHome Updater. Please consider sometimes it may take few days until the new version will be available via MyHome Updater because we want to make sure they did not create some kind of problem with the update and it requires additional time to test.
